Fine Art Print: Tuesday
Walking in front of the Chapel on the way to whatever is next, this painting shows the life around the Yard. The buildings are nothing without the people that fill them. Originally a 5”x7” oil painting.
The Dark Ages are a time at the Naval Academy not always welcomed. Following the return from a wonderful time with loved ones during holiday leave, they embody the thickness of studies and military grind with the reprieve of summer still too far away. Events are sparse, visitors are few, and everyone is wearing black, which just adds to the atmosphere. But then… The snow has fallen, the sun shines for just that day- It’s illuminating Stribling as if to promise it will all be worth it, and there is something lovely about today… even if “today” does not contain a cover toss, a Herndon climb, or a ring dance.
About Fine Art Prints
Giclee prints are a form of art reproduction commonly used today for high-quality fine art prints. When taken care of (not placed in direct sunlight or in especially humid environments), they can last up to 200 years.
**** All prints are made to order and will be ready to ship in 3-8 business days***
Paper Prints
Perfect for building a gallery wall! Paper prints need to be framed.
Paper will be the selected size, and there will be a 1/8” white inner border to help with matting if desired. You can frame either to the size of the paper, or have your print matted for more presence.
Canvas Prints
All prints are giclee canvas print with a matte finish on rolled or stretched canvas.
Rolled canvas is great if you love the texture of an original painting. It needs to be framed (with or without glass!)
If you’d like to receive your print ready to hang, stretched canvas is the way to go! Stretched canvas can be framed in a floater style frame, but doesn’t have to be. Edges will be black and can be 3/4” or 1.5” deep (if you aren’t sure what to do, I’d recommend 1.5”. It adds a nice depth for any size canvas!).
Framing
Frames are not currently being sold in this shop, but rolled canvases and paper prints can easily be framed by any ready-made or custom made frames. You can frame stretched canvas as well, but you don’t have to.
