What to Expect in 2022

I hope this finds you healthy and excited about the new year ahead! (Do you want to see what the top three were for 2021? view it here!)

Here’s what you can expect from Easel on Stribling in 2022.

First: A personal note.

In +/- three weeks, we will be adding a newborn to the house and settling in as a family of five.

If there's anything I've learned from doing this twice before, it is to carve out space for the unexpected and to take a little time to adjust. That being said, Easel on Stribling will still be running and able to fulfill orders!

It's also worth noting, this whole thing started with a two month old baby, and in the past, postpartum has been a really creative time for me. However, every baby is different  so to prepare for that unknown, it will be a slower creative start to 2022 than in years past.

Next: *At least* one more collection of original paintings!

My intention for this body of work includes one more collection of oil paintings highlighting the fall season on the Yard. It's slowly coming to life, but given the above, I do not expect it to be ready until late summer of this year (2022).

That being said, depending on how things go, there could be another smaller collection in the Spring! *crossing fingers*

As for long term: I honestly don't know yet what that will look like! My goal after these paintings is to publish a coffee table book, but after that, I could see it going many directions. New ideas come when I least expect them, so you'll just have to stick around for 2023 to see what happens!

Finally, potential collabs

The concept of collaboration is very exciting to me, and I have a few projects in the works (again... newborn coming soon... so no official announcements yet!) that are fun and promote connection with one another, which is what Easel on Stribling is all about.

Some ideas are just seeds, others have turned into conversations and early stages. I want to share, work with, and promote other creative thinkers in the military space, and love dreaming about what we can do alongside one another.

I know that's such a tease, but it's direction and intention going into this year!

Thank you for being here and for coming alongside this amazing journey!
