Fine Art Print: Days Until
Fine Art Print: Days Until
Days Until (Originally 16”x20”)
At any given moment, a plebe must know precisely how many days there are until a notable moment of longing: typically, a leave period or a rite of passage. It is a grueling mind game to constantly look ahead and reflect on how many moments of plebe misery will exist before reprieve.
As an artist, still life style paintings will always be special to me. They are how I learned to paint. My teacher would set up a challenge and expect me to produce a finished painting at the end of
our three hour session. I learned to paint directly through this process, but I also learned the how a still life can tell a story.
Each item is chosen for a reason and is used to guide your eye to move around the painting. Notice the first thing you look at and the subsequent journey you take.
You may observe the acorn on the lower right-hand side. When it makes sense, I prefer to include elements from nature in my paintings. I use this motif in the two other still life paintings in this series to signify growth.
This print is part of the exhibit at the USNA Museum titled, “A Midshipman’s Journey.” The exhibit features a curated selection of paintings that tell the story of the Naval Academy through moments, big and small.
Please note the image has been blurred slightly for the internet display and copyright. Your print will be crisp and beautiful!
About Fine Art Prints
Giclee prints are a form of art reproduction commonly used today for high-quality fine art prints. When taken care of (not placed in direct sunlight or in especially humid environments), they can last up to 200 years.
**** All prints are made to order and will be ready to ship in 3-8 business days***
Paper Prints
Perfect for building a gallery wall! Paper prints need to be framed.
Paper will be the selected size, and there will be a 1/8” white inner border to help with matting if desired. You can frame either to the size of the paper, or have your print matted for more presence.
Canvas Prints
All prints are giclee canvas print with a matte finish on rolled or stretched canvas.
Rolled canvas is great if you love the texture of an original painting. It needs to be framed (with or without glass!)
If you’d like to receive your print ready to hang, stretched canvas is the way to go! Stretched canvas can be framed in a floater style frame, but doesn’t have to be. Edges will be black and can be 3/4” or 1.5” deep (if you aren’t sure what to do, I’d recommend 3/4” if it’s on the smaller end!).
Framing
Frames are not currently being sold in this shop, but rolled canvases can easily be framed by any ready-made or custom made frames. You can frame stretched canvas as well, but you don’t have to.
